As we look towards the future, our shared opinions, values and aspirations are vital. That's why we're reaching out to you, the heart and soul of our parish, with this special once-in-a-decade survey.
The results of this survey will be instrumental in shaping a forward-thinking Neighbourhood Plan for the coming years. By completing the survey we will have the information we need to create a Plan that really reflects local need – not just what other people think we need.
Our goal? To hear your voice, to understand your perspectives, and to embrace your ideas for our community's future. Whether you've called our parish home for years or are one of our newer neighbours, your insights are invaluable to us.
This survey is lengthy as we try to discover what you feel about many aspects of life in Gnosall. Please complete as much of it as you are able – all responses are welcome.
Remember, if we don't tell planners what WE want and need, they will make decisions for us! It is vital that the plan reflects the views of the local community and for this reason it can only be completed with YOUR help. Nobody knows our parish better than those of us who live and work here. So please take this opportunity to express your views.

Completing this survey is more than just sharing opinions; it's an opportunity to actively shape the parish around us – from the services we value to the essence of our identity.
Neighbourhood Planning provides a powerful set of tools for local people to plan for the types of development necessary to meet their community's needs. The Gnosall Neighbourhood Plan seeks to protect our local landscape and heritage, while enabling sustainable change and development to take place, which will enhance our well-being and prosperity. The Neighbourhood Plan policies aim to represent what local people see as the way in which Gnosall can change positively over the next few years.
Gnosall Parish Council was the first in the Borough to complete a Neighbourhood Plan in 2015 and this allowed us to add parish-specific detail to The Plan for Stafford Borough (the Local Plan.) Since then, Gnosall policies have been taken into account when Stafford Borough decides applications within our parish.
Now we need to renew our Neighbourhood Plan as it is 10 years old. It must be in alignment with the new Local Plan, which will not be ready until late 2027, but by completing our survey now we can use your responses to base our policies on analysis of community and stakeholder engagement and local evidence.
This will enable us to complete those sections of our Neighbourhood Plan which can be written before the Local Plan is published. Once that is done, we shall have to await details of Local Plan policies which affect Gnosall and complete our work accordingly, then go to examination and referendum.
